I have no experience with tattoo shops, but in general you need to have enough equity (savings, home equity loan, small business loan) to run for two or three years before you start making a need that amount of time to build up enough of a customer base to make a go of things.
So what do you think what i can do ?
You need to sit down and figure out what your expenses are going to be, and then see if you can realistically pay those bills. You might start by going the other way and figuring out how many customers your husband has now and how much money they are bringing into the shop.
Your suggest is good do you have any tattoo business ?
As I mentioned, I don't know the tattoo business, and I don't even know Houston. But I think $5500 is  probably WAY too much for a startup, especially considering that you are going to have other expenses: salaries, insurance, shop supplies, etc.
