How to take care of tatto after?

I just got my tattoo  now my artist told me everything I need to do, I thought I had h2ocean left but none and its late and cant go to store. yeah I know stupid move, n e ways the only thing I have lying around is baby lotion and mens vasoline lotion woll n e of these work? Help ppl.

It's ok to go a day or two with out lotion but you should be washing it at least twice a day with unscented mild soap to help reduce the chances of getting it infected. Don't use baby lotion or petroleum jelly Vaseline, they can irritate your tattoo.

yeah I additionally heard that neosporin was once a no no. Really with the tattoos that I have, I placed a few bacintracin for like every week, approximately two times an afternoon at so much so the ink does not run (an excessive amount of lotion or ointment is unhealthy)

Some people use vaseline but I feel like it clogs my skin. If its unscented then I suppose its better than nothing for the night, but tomorrow you need to head out and get something proper. I always used A&D cream or aquaphor. If you've got sensitive skin I'd use the aquaphor.
