Tattoo Coverups + Removal / Tattoo removal or coverup?
« on: March 08, 2020, 05:00:23 am »

I don't  care about the pain or prices , I'm just wondering what would be better, I can't make up my mind. Should I get an old tattoo removed ? Will it scar BADLY? or will it be a

clean removal?? Or should I cover it up with something else?

Tattoo Coverups + Removal / Tattoo coverup that is waterproof?
« on: March 08, 2020, 04:46:41 am »
I am going to Hawaii with my family in a few months and they don't  know about a small tattoo i have on my back. I need the best tattoo coverup that WILL NOT come off and that is very waterproof. I need it to last all day at the beach, and in the water, etc. Any suggestions?

I have no experience with tattoo shops, but in general you need to have enough equity (savings, home equity loan, small business loan) to run for two or three years before you start making a profit...you need that amount of time to build up enough of a customer base to make a go of things.
So what do you think what i can do ?
You need to sit down and figure out what your expenses are going to be, and then see if you can realistically pay those bills. You might start by going the other way and figuring out how many customers your husband has now and how much money they are bringing into the shop.
Your suggest is good do you have any tattoo business ?

I would say, you gotta be kidding.
How much do they charge for a tattoo in the area?
How much business do you expect? Multiple that by job and that's your "revenue".
Then add up the expenses. Utilities, supplies, salaries, license fees, insurance, etc.
Add that to the rent, and you got yourself "break-even".
Ah do you think i shouldn't except  this kind of business ?

We are in the process of trying to open a tattoo studio in Houston, Texas on Westheimer and Fondren.

They're asking $5,500 and its a good size space...but that sounds almost impossible! Am I wrong? My husband does not make nearly that much working for other shops but is it a lot different on the owners side of income? What about electricity and water?

Any other tattoo shop owners out there or people with insight? Can we do this?

Oh yeah! People always ask "how much did it hurt when you got that tattoo?". Honestly the healing is the part that you need to remember.
